Ruutu+ supports blood donors by giving screen time to friends

Nelonen Media wants to encourage people to donate blood, as Finland constantly needs more blood donors.

Kaksi naista nauttimassa ilmaisesta välipalasta verenluovutuksen jälkeen. Molemmat saavat Ruutu+ 1kk ilmaiseksi, kun luovuttavat verta ystävän kanssa.

As a thank you for the important work of blood donors, Nelonen Media is offering one month of Ruutu+  ad-free screen time, free of charge, to everyone who donates blood with a friend.

Nelonen Media is donating 2,000 free trial codes to support the finding new blood donors in Finland. The code can be used by new Ruutu customers as well as those with an active subscription.

“At Nelonen Media, we want to support blood donation, which is invaluable work. We want to encourage people to donate blood, and that’s why we want to thank every donor with a Ruutu+ code. With it, they can dive into Ruutu’s amazing content. This spring, Ruutu will offer a diverse selection of Finnish sports, entertainment, and drama series, so there’s something for everyone!” says Ville Toivonen, TV Director at Nelonen Media.

In Finland, there is a constant need for new blood donors, as only about 3% of those eligible to donate blood actually do so. Blood products are used daily in hospitals to treat, for example, surgical patients, cancer patients, and victims of accidents.
