Recognition for Blood Donors
Thank you for donating blood! On these pages, you will find information about gift options that blood donors receive after a certain number of donations. We recognize donors with a gift on their first, fifth, and tenth visits. Additionally, we remember with a special gift those who have donated blood 50, 100, 150, and 200 times.
Donors can choose a product gift for themselves on-site or alternatively donate the recognition to charity through the Red Cross as an impactful gift.
We offer each donor a free snack. Additionally, students receive an overall badge.
Have you donated blood 1-10 times?
On the first visit, the blood donor receives a Lifesaver bag.
On the fifth and tenth visits, the gift option is a small useful Red Cross product or a donation to charity.
Have you donated more than ten times?
We naturally also recognize our veteran donors, that is, all who have donated blood 50, 100, 150, and 200 times.
The options are traditional Red Cross recognitions, product gifts, or charity options.
After fifty donations, the recognition option is a gold pin or jewelry. After one hundred donations, you can choose a bronze miniature of The Three Faces of Emergency, after 150 donations a Blood Service pennant, and after 200 donations a silver plaque.
The recognitions are given to the donor in connection with the blood donation at the donation site. Long-term donors are also recognized with donor parties, to which a personal invitation is sent.
Lifesaver badges in the app included in the recognition
Part of the recognition for donors takes place in the Donor’s app already in January 2025, but the recognition is also developed in future releases of the app. The blood donor will receive virtual lifesaver badges for their visits.
