Veripalvelu®-blood products

The Finnish Red Cross Blood Service (FRCBS) is centrally responsible for Finland’s national blood product supply under normal and emergency situations. The gift from an unnamed donor is processed into blood products at the Vehkala Blood Centre in Vantaa.

Red Cells

One platelet product is produced from four donors’ buffy coats that are collected through whole blood donations or it is collected through one donor’s apheresis donation.
