CREATING POTENTIAL FOR SAVING LIVES

The Finnish Red Cross Blood Service is the nationwide blood service provider in Finland. The Blood Service collects blood and processes it into such preparations and medicinal products as hospitals require for treating patients.

The Blood Service is a financially and operationally independent section of the Finnish Red Cross.

Each year 270 000 bags of blood are donated in Finland, with up to 50 000 patients benefiting from products derived from this blood.
