Why do we exist?
We provide Finnish patients and doctors with the world-class expertise, services and products required in blood transfusion treatment.
Wellbeing of the patient
Wellbeing of the patient is the most important factor for us working at the Blood Service. All our efforts are aimed at achieving the optimal result for the patient. Together with blood donors and hospital staff, we create potential for saving lives.
Respecting the donor
The Blood Service is dependent on voluntary blood donors. We hold them in high regard and wish to give them the opportunity to help others. We consider the donation a gift.
We, who work at the Blood Service, consider it essential that the relationship with all our stakeholders is based on reciprocal dependability. It is also reflected on safe products and highly reliable delivery.
Wellbeing of the staff
Our strong belief is that we achieve optimal results when our working community fares well. We aim at high job satisfaction e.g. by offering individuals opportunities to develop a their work.
We consider it ethically unacceptable to use the donated blood or any of our other resources inefficiently.
